Meeting local immigration and labor requirements can be time consuming and frustrating. To eliminate these headaches and slow-downs, MEBS provides a variety of visa services, including assistance with sponsorship, work permits and visas, residency visas, government-project visas, and fixed-labor and private-sector visas. We also can assist with visa cancellation and transfers. Our experienced sponsorship specialists work with governmental authorities to ensure that all necessary work permits, resident permits and documentation are approved and in good standing. We manage all aspects of the visa process, including application and any required medical examinations.

Our particular expertise with ongoing military and DOD projects will assure your employees receive the appropriate visa and permit. For example, a permit/visa type 18 is required to gain access to all military locations in Kuwait. Government-project visas are registered to a U.S. government contract and are issued based on contract requirements, and may be transferred only after the conclusion of the contract.

Fixed-labor and private-sector visas, meanwhile, can be issued directly from a company’s labor file. With this type of visa, employees are sponsored, but not tied to any specific contract or activity. Fixed-labor and private-sector visas offer employers more control over its workforce, as this type of visa is more difficult to transfer to a new contract. Fixed-labor visas can be easily transferred to another sponsor, however, after one year, should an employee resign or be terminated.

As a local operating company in seven Middle Eastern countries, MEBS has the authority to sponsor  visitors. For example, all visitors to Kuwait require the sponsorship of either a Kuwaiti individual or company. MEBS can act as sponsor and manage all details of the sponsorship application, freeing your staff to focus on more critical project details.
